User Research

Book enthusiasts who had been exchange, buying, or selling their used books.
Research summary
To gain a deeper understanding of the users I'm designing for and their needs, I conducted interviews and created empathy maps. Through this research, a primary user group was identified: individuals who love to read and purchase books, but have a limited budget for buying new ones, struggle to find a place to sell their used books, or have difficulty finding a reliable seller to purchase new ones from.
Research shows that budget and reliable sellers are not the only reasons why people find it difficult to buy or sell their books. Other problems users face include having too many items displayed on the website, complicated checkout processes, and difficulty in returning items.
